Nice run

Took my camera along for yesterday’s run. I went up the Loch Treig Munros - Stob Coire Scriodan, Meall Garbh and Chno Dearg.

Mega boulder to come back to!

Peculiarly perched boulder. Didn’t understand the physics of this.

Another snow shower sweeps across Loch Treig

Looking east from Meall Garbh

Binnien Shuas appears out of the clouds. Time to jog down for a bowl of soup..

  2. The hills round there seem to to inspire runners. Tranter's round. Ramsay round etc. Looks like you had a mixed bag on the weather front! Last time i was there I got the Friday evening train out of Glasgow to Corrour. Ran up the hill got to top at 1am, bivi'd out on top of stob coire easain, woke up covered in snow and ran out over stob ban, the Grey corries and aonach mhor. not my regular friday night in to saturday! Mamores make you run further somehow.

  4. A long while back, our student club was climbing in the Peak District one day, when along came the running figure of Ron Fawcett. He would stop to solo up an HVS or so, and then solo back down it. Then on he carried running. Is this something you do, Dave, or do you keep the running to itself?

P.S. Enjoyed your talk in Strathpeffer a few weeks back.

  5. What a wicked place you got man...

    Just a quick one Dave.

I,ve just smashed my ankle climbing and i'm looking at being out of it for a fair few months.
I've been training so hard this last 10 months to push the grade and made ace improvement.
But at the minute it feels like i,'ve been knocked back down with the biggest hammer possible.
Do you have any tips on how to keep focused through this healing process..?

    Cheers Dave.
